Adult Pottery: “Friday Night Fun” Week 1 with Linda LaRock

Week 1- Slab Construction: Convex and Concave Bowls Join us for our “Friday Night Fun” pottery series, where we explore different handbuilding techniques every week! Sign up for one session or all four. Students who sign up for all 4 sessions will have their glazing fees waived. In session 1, you will learn how to use the slab roller. (This is very much like a pasta roller, but larger!) Your slab will then be placed either inside of a “slump mold” or on top of one to create a butter dish/cake cover (concave) or a platter/bowl (convex). Linda will then teach you how to add embellishments of feet or handles– both created from your original slab of clay. All levels are welcome to join, ages 18+. The cost of this class includes 2 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. The cost of the firing fee and glazing fee depends on the size and shape of your project.
