The Seneca Knitting Mill: History and Fiction

Discover the history of the Seneca Knitting Mill through both historical research and historical fiction. SFHS Executive Director Jonathan Monfiletto will explore the mill’s 150-year legacy in Seneca Falls, while author Mary Lash will discuss how the mill and other local history inspired her novel Women of Glass and Steel, set in Seneca Falls during the women’s suffrage movement. The program will be held at the Becker Mansion, 55 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for SFHS members. Advance ticket purchases and reservations are available through the Seneca Falls Historical Society website, though walk-ins are welcome and guests may pay at the door.
