Understanding A.I. with Dr. Jennifer Stromer-Galley
"What is artificial intelligence?" "How does it work?" "How might it affect my life?" "What could the future of A.I. look like?" If you've asked yourself any of these questions, join Dr. Jennifer Stromer-Galley, professor in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, for an engaging presentation and Q&A about the recent proliferation of generative A.I. tools. Dr. Stromer-Galley is affiliated with the Department of Political Science, the Campbell Institute, the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies, and is a research affiliate with the Institute for Democracy, Journalism, and Citizenship. She served as President of the Association of Internet Researchers from 2015 to 2017 and currently teaches courses such as "Exploring AI: Tools and Implications," and "Data and Society." She studies A.I.-mediated information environments, and is a regular panelist on WCNY's weekly public affairs TV program Ivory Tower.
