Follow Hemingway’s characters from the cafés of Paris to the sun-soaked tables of Spain, with five wines and five small plates inspired by the journey. Expect something bubbly, something briny, a splash of sherry, and a pair of Spanish reds, each matched with a bite made to go with it. Your hosts: Anthony Velasquez , Professor of Creative Writing at Keuka College and Wine Educator at Forge Cellars, will pour the wines and share the stories behind them. Chef Julian Plyter of Pintxo Wine Bar in Canandaigua will prepare the Spanish small plates and bring his expertise in Spanish food, wine, and culture to the table.
