Woven Cotton Towels: 2 Day Weaving Workshop with Laura Ballard

Monday and Wednesday, Dec. 7th and 9th, 6-9pm $160-$180 (sliding scale) Ages 13+ It is so satisfying to weave your own towels- a functional piece of decor for your home! What to expect: In this multi-level workshop, beginner students will focus on plain weave and students with some experience can choose from color and weave patterns or plaids. We will meet for 2 workshops that are 3 hours each. The first class we will design our towels, choose colors and warp (set up) the looms. The second class will cover hemstitching, weaving and towel hemming. What will be provided: All materials needed to complete the towels including looms, cotton yarn and all weaving and sewing notions. What to bring: A water bottle and snack or light dinner, if you would like. What we will produce: A finished hand woven cotton towel that is as durable and absorbent as it is beautiful.
